NACC Name CLC Attorney Best Young Lawyer of the Year

During the NACC Juvenile Law Conference held in Atlanta, GA this past August, one of CLC’s attorneys was named Best Young Lawyer of the Year. Regina Quaynor, an attorney in the Sacramento office, received her award along with paid conference registration, travel and accommodations (at the Atlanta Hotel) while attending the conference.

Regina joined the Children’ Law Center of California in 2010 as a contract attorney and quickly learned how to navigate California’s intricate child welfare laws, demonstrating advocacy skills, maturity and a perspective comparable to a far more experienced lawyer. When CLC announced in the spring of 2011 that we would be opening an office in Sacramento, Regina was enthusiastic about the prospect of being part of something from the ground up and pursued the opportunity to be included in the plans. That summer she joined the CLC Sacramento Team and, with only a few months of experience in the enormous and complex Los Angeles County system, Regina moved to the state Capitol and hit the ground running, spending countless hours learning the rules
